Hiking

with all senses

Autumn is a wonderful season for hiking. Nature is draped in its most colorful dress. But the magnificent landscape is not the only thing contributing to the special atmosphere. The culinary delights at the numerous huts and alpine pastures in and around Längenfeld are also waiting to enchant you.

You will find everything your heart desires here. We particularly recommend the homemade specialties made from regional products. From fresh alpine cheese to hearty bacon snacks, there is something for every taste. You’re on vacation! So, enjoy some guilty pleasures. Try some of our traditional desserts like Kaiserschmarrn (scrambled pancakes) or Topfenknödel (curd dumplings).

Hiking tip Stuibenfall

Over a total of 159 m (522 ft) and two steep steps, the Horlachbach waterfall drops from Niederthai into the valley, with water plumes towering several feet high into the sky. These water mist clouds also give the mighty natural spectacle its name: Stuibenfall. From the parking lot Bischoffsplatz in Umhausen, the hiking trail leads to the Stuibenfall. The hike takes about 30–40 minutes and is suitable for families with strollers.

Wild rivers

and spectacular gorges

Experience the Ötztal in a very special way, while canyoning and rafting! Canyoning allows you to explore remote gorges, waterfalls, and ravines. Experience nature up close by diving into the water, rappelling, and climbing. You can always rely on our experienced guides to keep you safe.

Rafting takes you down the whitewater rivers of Ötztal, where you can explore spectacular gorges and breathtaking landscapes. You can really let off steam here and experience the ultimate water fun – as a group or alone.
